Proton Series amplifiers are 2 ohm stable in stereo and 4 ohm in mono.There are so many options of configurations. Any 2 channels can be bridged to 1 channel. So for example, you can bridge 4 channels to 2 channels and still have an additional 4 channels remaining. You can simply plug 1 speaker to each channel. You can use 2 or 4 of the channels for subwoofers and the rest for your full range speakers. The configuration options are amazing with this amplifier. But this Rockville amplifier is legitimate and will produce or exceed its rated power. To prove the power; you can check the fuse rating. This amplifier is equipped with an 80A fuse. A general rule for 12 volt amplifiers is if you multiply the fuse rating by 10 that is close to the real power you will get. In this case that is 800 watts RMS (we rate it at 750w RMS since this is Dyno Certified).
