Oil Filter - cartridge type filter element for the 4.4L M62 V8 petrol engine, fitted in the oil cooler and filter housing. It filters the full flow of oil leaving the pump before i t reaches the bearings, valve gear and timing chain drive, holding back wear debris and combustion by-products. The element is replaced at every oil service. Cartridge design: the element alone is renewed and the housing is retained, so the housing cover must be refitted and tightened to the specified torque.
