Air Conditioning Compressor in the air conditioning refrigerant circuit, driven from the engine accessory drive. The compressor draws low-pressure refrigerant vapour from the evapo rator and compresses it to a high-pressure gas, discharging it to the condenser where heat is released to the ambient air. This is the pressure difference that drives refrigerant flow around the circuit and enables cabin cooling. Fitted to the 2.0L 16V Ti-VCT turbocharged petrol engine (Gen2).
