Cabin Pollen Filter, 272x195x43mm - the filter element in the HVAC intake housing, installed upstream of the blower motor and evaporator. All air drawn into the cabin passes throug h it, so it traps pollen, road dust, soot and brake particulate before they reach the occupants and before they can settle on the evaporator fins. It is specified as a combined odour and particle element, so it also adsorbs traffic fumes and exhaust odours. A loaded filter is the most common cause of weak airflow from the vents, slow demisting and a musty smell when the fan first starts.
