The Press System 1" standard pressing jaw is intended for use with the PC-280 press tool or the PC-100 press tool. The pressing jaw is installed in the appropriate pressing tool. When the trigger on the pressing tool is depressed a crimp is made, and the jaws must close completely to ensure a leak-free connection. When properly crimped, a unique "N" witness mark is clearly visible. Pressing tools, jaws and chain sets are an integral part of ensuring a reliable, permanent connection between copper piping and NIBCO Press System fittings and valves. Use only pressing tools, jaws and chain sets that have been tested and approved for use with NIBCO Press System fittings and valves.
