It was founded by Italian famous Frescobaldi family and Robert Mondavi from Napa Valley in 1995.The place of Montalcino is very proud of its native varietal, Sangiovese. Luce was the first wine created in Montalcino by blending Sangiovese and Merlot. Combining the roundedness and softness of Merlot with the structure and elegance of Sangiovese. Lucente is the entryway to the world of Luce, with shorter aging period, which is a fruity and very pleasant wine. Sweet dark cherry, plum, mocha, lavender and wild flowers all run through this gracious, med-weight red. Fresh and naunced, the 2018 is a big departure from the wines of a few years ago.
