Grape: RieslingVintage: 2022Type: White This white wine represents a classic Mosel Kabinett riesling sourced from the historic Thörnicher Ritsch vineyard within the Im Schneidersberg parcel. Winemaker Julian Ludes harvests the ungrafted old vines manually from extreme, terraced slate cliffs that naturally limit yields. The winemaking features a completely spontaneous native fermentation driven by wild vineyard yeasts inside traditional neutral vessels, completely avoiding chemical corrections. The liquid settles naturally on its fine fermentation lees before a careful bottling. It pour a clear straw hue, opening with a refined nose of tart green apple, white peach, and wet slate. On the palate, a lightweight frame balances a subtle fruit sweetness with a bracing line of laser-sharp acidity. A strong vein of slate salinity runs directly through the center, providing excellent structural tension and refreshing energy. The texture remains athletic and fluid across the mid-palate volume without feeling heavy. It finishes long, dry-tinged, and persistent.
