This pad features 3 different wavelengths of deep healing light, delivering the benefits of red (635nm), near-infrared (830nm), and 940nm wavelengths. The LEDs (light emitting diod es) are spaced 5/8 of an inch apart—the optimal LED spacing to create uniform light distribution for muscles, tendons, and deeper layers of skin. Closer spacing would create excessive heat and require reduced optical power, decreasing effectiveness. Wider spacing would result in spotty coverage.
