This decorative piece is formed from a marbled claybody. The inside is glazed in a thin, translucent but creamy, white. The outside is left unglazed -- the piece retains the raw su rface of the clay, allowing the material itself to remain the primary expression of form. Well-suited to a shelf, console, or tabletop as a subtle sculptural presence. The candle inside is hand-poured in natural soy wax. It offers a clean, even burn and a carefully composed fragrance that fills a space with subtle olfactory presence. Its vessel will continue to hold quiet sculptural presence long after the flame has faded. The Lumen collection is a study of light and presence, exploring vessels and objects designed to interact with illumination. Inspired by the artist’s childhood memories of sunlight and the subtle ways light dances across surfaces.
