About: This formula was developed by Stephen Buhner to address chronic lung conditions, including Chronic Bronchitis. It has been designed to also "reduce the number of non-beneficial bacteria in the lung microbiome, supports lung tissue and increase oxygen intake.” Contains: Wild crafted Lomatium (dissectum), organic Pleurisy root (Asclepias tuberosa), organic Elecampane (Inula helenium), organic Isatis root and leaf (Isatis indigotica), wild crafted Houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata), Osha (Ligusticum porteri), wild crafted Yerba santa (Eriodictyon californicum), organic Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), organic Myrrh gum (Commiphora myrrha) in certified organic non-GMO cane alcohol and Adirondack water. Safety considerations: Do not take during pregnancy or when nursing. Three of the herbs in this formula, Lomatium, Pleurisy root and Osha are very powerful herbs and are strongly discouraged for use during both Pregnancy and breast-feeding. Licorice not suggested for those who have been diagnosed with hypertension or edema, (due to extracellular fluid volume) hyperglycemia and pregnancy, kidney failure, congestive heart failure and low potassium levels. Herb profiles: Osha root: contains high amounts of oxytocin that could cause problems for both unborn and young children. Lomatium: has been known to cause uncomfortable rash in some adults. Also, the safety of Lomatium in babies and children has not been evaluated to date. These are the reasons we discourage the use of the overall Deep Lung Formula with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Pleurisy root: may cause a rash, nausea or diarrhea in babies and children. It may also cause uterine contractions. Consider our formula “Open Breath” which would be a safer alternative that helps with respiratory support. Recommended Dosage: 60 - 120 drops OR 1/2 -1 teaspoon, 3 times per day in juice or water. Not recommended for children 6 years old or younger.
