The LV-X Chest Rig is a scalable load carrying platform designed for both covert and overt use. It can be loaded externally with MOLLE pouches, and internally with our LV inserts. Covert stand-alone use: The LV-X features a unique Velcro split-front design. With the right undershirt and cover shirt, the rig nearly disappears while still allowing for quick access to ammunition and equipment. Overt expansion use: The Velcro split-front section expands outwards so that a placard (see compatibility list below) can be attached. This converts that placard to a full-sized chest rig by adding room for comms, sustainment, munitions, and other fighting equipment. Placards drop in easily and quickly. The harness shoulder straps can be mounted directly to the placard buckles, and the built-in LV-X buckle straps can be tucked away in this configuration. Unlike other systems, the LV-X capacity can be expanded both internally with our LV inserts and other Velcro attached admin pouches, and externally with conventional MOLLE pouches. The LV-X also preserves the rear Velcro contact field, allowing for use of conventional dangler and admin panels attachment. Variants: LV-X comes in two sizes, the larger version has 5 columns of MOLLE per side while the smaller version has 3 columns. The larger 5 column version will accept all of our LV inserts behind the sides. The 3 column version will only accept the smaller LV+1 magazine inserts in these locations. Both variants can hold the larger +2, +3, and +4 inserts in the center behind the 6"x4" Velcro panels. A selection of inserts can be found here.
