Come join us in our Foundational Class for génoise cakes, where we take you back to the days before baking powder and baking soda were available and bakers had to rely on whipped eggs to create light airy cakes. You’ll also have a refreshing Lychee Rose Génoise Shortcake to show off at the end! In this class, you’ll gain a better grasp over the basics of creating a great génoise that you can use as a base for future cake recipes. Learn how to help your eggs to retain air better by warming them up with a double boiler and know how to identify when your mixture is whipped to perfection. At the end of this lesson, you’ll walk away a proud master of génoise cakes! How Our Classes Work Every class of ours, whether it's a masterclass (like our Tarts In Bloom) or a hands-on class (like this one!), share the same commitment towards better baking at home. We firmly believe in teaching more than just recipes, and we believe that warmth and cosiness are the key to a conducive environment for baking. So join us in an intimate environment where we come together and learn to bake the best we can. The Program (Where, What, When!) Hands-on class (you will make and bring home a 6 inch Lychee Genoise Rose Genoise Shortcake) Hosted at 21 Bukit Batok Crescent (full details will be released to participants) 26th August 2025, Tuesday, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Only 4 seats available. Make a lovely cake with lovely people in a cosy setting, with the guidance of our patient and fun instructors and facilitators. Learn, chat, and ask questions, and meet others who share the same love of baking as we all do. Then end the session with a dedicated 10-15 minutes for some photoshoot fun! Confirmed attendees will receive the exact location via email or SMS. The Vibe Come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with us in a cosy environment! Terms & Conditions The class might be extended slightly from the given duration to cater to questions and delays. No refunds will be given for no-shows. No refunds will be given once your booking is confirmed. You may however pass your booking on to someone else, but prior notice will be required for us to register the new ticket holder that will be coming in your place. Your booking is confirmed only when full payment has been received. We reserve the right to cancel the class on our own discretion, in which case, we’ll do a full refund of tickets.
