January Monthly Mix: Lydia Reading The first monthly mix of 2026! And we lead off with a collection of Miyuki 8/0 seed beads chosen by Janice and Miranda. This year's Mix theme is Women Artists. Janice chose Mary Cassatt as our first inspiration. One of Janice's favorite painters from childhood, Mary Cassatt was always a role model for her. Growing up wanting to be an artist, Janice gravitated to the Impressionists and Mary Cassatt, in particular. "It was Mary Cassatt who captured my imagination. I was just 9 or 10 when I tried to emulate her sheer mastery of pastels. She distilled her subject matter, children and mothers, with such genius. To this day, I never tire of her art. She is the most famous of the Women Impressionists, with very good reason. She studied in France but was American. Quite an amazing artist on every level." ~janice This mix includes: 8-2022 Matte Opaque Antique Beige 8-132FR Matte Transparent Light Topaz AB 8-2033 Matte Opaque Light Olive Luster 8-4201F Duracoat Galvanized Matte Silver 8-2032 Matte Opaque Golden Olive Luster 8-461 Metallic Chocolate 8-4464 Duracoat Dyed Light Watermelon Mix sold individually, in tube of approximately 22 grams.
