The needles are made of smooth, hard birch with a beautiful grey "driftwood" finish t hat varies with the wood grain and the tips are long and slender. The black metal endcaps have the sizes etched into them, not printed, and the join to the cables is smooth and flexible. The interchangeable set includes sizes US 4 - US 17 and comes in a sturdy fold-up case with elastic closure.
