It holds down loose grain fibers, helping cre ate a smoother, cleaner edge on belts, straps, wallets, cases, and other veg-tan leather projects.Apply a small amount to the leather edge, then rub briskly with a wood slicker, canvas, or another burnishing tool. The friction compacts and smooths the fibers, preparing the edge for use as-is or for the application of an additional edge finish.Gum Tragacanth is especially useful in belt making and other projects where a smooth, finished edge is important. It may be thinned with water when a lighter consistency is needed. Fiebing’s also recommends it for preparing leather edges before applying Edge Kote.Please Note: Do not freeze.
