Milk and Honey Distillery is Israel's first whisky distillery, located in Tel Aviv. Established in 2014, it's known for its innovative approach to whisky production, taking advanta ge of the country's unique climate to mature whisky at an accelerated rate. They produce a range of single malt whiskies, often featuring fruity and Mediterranean-inspired flavours. The distillery has garnered attention in the global whisky scene for its pioneering spirit and commitment to crafting quality Israeli whisky. This specific release M&H have taken 50% of their unpeated distillate and whacked it with 25% peated distillate from imported peated grain and 25% unpeated distillate finished in ex-Islay cask - all left at the hands of the Israeli elements to mature! Nose: Lots of vanilla and honey, but a backbone of dry smoke smoulders away underneath. Palate: Citrus notes arrive on the palate, with continued sweet vanilla notes and another waft of smoke. Finish: Just a hint of toasty spices linger on the finish - black pepper, ginger, and cardamom. Show more
