The three Latin Motets from the late 1880s have long been a standard repertoire of British choirs and have often been recorded on CD. And yet, although the Anglo-Irish composer Cha rles Villiers Stanford is no longer unknown in Germany, they remain an insider's tip. The motets are true miniatures of a cappella music.
