M12x1.75x2D free running stainless steel wire thread inserts. Features and benefits Use for thread repair or as a thread strengthening device. High performance internal threads exc eed the strength of most parent materials. Manufactured from aircraft quality A2/304 stainless steel. Maintains bolt tension under severe vibration conditions. Corrosion resistant, preventing adverse seizing and galling. Wear resistant, virtually eliminating friction-induced thread erosion. Heat resistant, withstanding temperatures ranging from -200°C to +425°C. Unique design saves space and weight compared to solid threaded fasteners. Please note Wire thread inserts cannot be measured in their free state as they expand upon installation. Once correctly installed, these inserts will have a fitted length of 24mm less the ½ pitch allowance needed to ensure the insert’s effectiveness. The only way to measure an insert before installing it is to count how many coils it has. An M12x1.75x2D insert should have between 11.1 - 11.9 coils. Show more
