Threaded inserts hold stronger than tapped threads in plastic and allow the screw threads to last longer. These inserts can be installed in plastic components using a warm soldering iron. Simply heat the insert with the tip of the soldering iron and firmly press the brass insert into the part. Once cool, the insert will be firmly held in the part and ready for use.
