Description The M5Stack Crypto Authentication Unit is a compact encryption coprocessor for hardware-based secure key storage and device identity. It integrates the ATECC608B hardware encryption chip and communicates through Grove I2C, giving M5Stack projects a protected way to store keys, certificates, data, consumption records, and security configuration. The ATECC608B secure element includes a guaranteed unique 72-bit serial number, 10Kb EEPROM, protected memory access policies, a random number generator, and support for ECC-P256, SHA256, and AES128-GCM. With pre-configured Trust&GO certificates, this I2C hardware security module can help IoT endpoints authenticate to TLS-based cloud platforms without exposing the private key.
