Description Unit MQ is a combustible gas detection unit based on the MQ-5 semiconductor gas sensor and an STM32G030F6P6 MCU. It is designed for detecting combustible gases such as LPG and methane in the surrounding environment. The module communicates with host devices through I2C and can provide internal reference voltage, sensor voltage, 12-bit and 8-bit ADC raw values, firmware version, thermistor temperature, and related gas sensor data. Unit MQ supports continuous heating mode and intermittent heating mode. Continuous heating helps the MQ-5 sensor reach operating temperature faster, while intermittent heating allows configurable heating cycles to optimize device power consumption.
