Description The M5Stack Roller485 is a brushless DC motor motion actuator unit with integrated control functions for efficient and precise motion control. It supports 6-16V DC input through the PWR485 interface or 5V input through the Grove interface, uses an STM32G431CBU6 MCU, and combines a built-in FOC closed-loop drive system, a 3504 200KV motor and magnetic encoder feedback for current, speed and position control. The M5Stack Roller485 includes an electrical slip ring so the top Grove interface can stay connected to the bottom during 360-degree rotation, allowing extra modules to be expanded on the rotating top section while maintaining power and data transmission. It also provides a 0.66-inch OLED display, RGB indicators, function buttons, LEGO-compatible mounting holes, M3 screw holes, SWD/SWO debugging interfaces and open-source hardware/software support. Note: The Lite version does not have the slip ring expansion Grove interface or the top LEGO expansion interface; this version includes those expansion features. Power supply notice: The power supply should not exceed 16V. If the voltage exceeds 18V, motor fault code E:1 is displayed, the motor stops working, "Over Voltage" is shown and the LED turns red. Encoder note: In absolute position mode, 36000 pos corresponds to 360 degrees. Because the mechanical installation angle and encoder angle may not be strictly aligned, an error of about 2 degrees may occur. Features Brushless DC motor control with a built-in FOC closed-loop drive system. RS485 and I2C communication control for motion control and parameter adjustment. 3504 200KV brushless motor with magnetic encoder feedback for current, speed and position triple-loop control. Electrical slip ring keeps the rotating top Grove interface connected during 360-degree rotation. 0.66-inch OLED display, RGB indicators and function buttons for local status and interaction. LEGO-compatible mounting holes and M3 screw holes on the top and base for quick integration. Open-source hardware and software with SWD and SWO debugging interfaces.
