Description Unit Step16 is a 16-position rotary encoder control unit based on the STM32G031G8U6 microcontroller. It reads the BCD value of the rotary encoder in real time and shows the 0-F hexadecimal value on the built-in 7-segment display. The device communicates through I2C and supports configuration of the rotation increment direction, display operating mode, display brightness, RGB LED color, RGB LED brightness, and I2C address. Because the address can be adjusted, multiple Unit Step16 modules can share the same I2C bus. With compact physical control and instant visual feedback, Unit Step16 is well suited for smart-home control panels, volume knobs, RGB lighting controls, motor speed adjustment, equipment interfaces, and STEAM education prototypes. Features Unit Step16 rotary control: 16-position BCD rotary encoder for clear stepped input. Visual feedback: integrated 7-segment display shows 0-F hexadecimal values. Configurable display: adjustable brightness and operating mode for different interfaces. Direction setting: supports clockwise and counter-clockwise increment direction control. RGB status output: configurable WS2812 RGB LED color and brightness. I2C integration: configurable I2C address with powered-off data retention. Development support: compatible with UiFlow1, UiFlow2, and Arduino IDE workflows.
