Description M5Stack Thermal Camera Unit (MLX90640) is a compact infrared thermal imaging unit built around the MLX90640 thermopile sensor array. It captures a 32 x 24 pixel thermal image, helping visualize temperature distribution from object surfaces for embedded temperature-sensing projects. The Thermal Camera Unit communicates over I2C at address 0x33 and provides a wide 110° x 75° field of view, a -40°C to 300°C measurement range, ±1.5°C accuracy, and a programmable refresh rate from 0.5Hz to 64Hz. Two LEGO-compatible mounting holes make it easy to integrate into prototypes, test fixtures, smart home devices, security monitoring, and industrial diagnostic systems.
