Organically grown old vine Cinsault, Grenache & Mourvèdre from Jeff Traeger’s impeccably farmed property in Vine Vale, on the eastern side of the Barossa at the foothill of Mengler s Hill. These 90 year old vines are deeply rooted in sandy soils over clay, benefiting from the diurnal temperature shifts that help preserve natural acidity. Hand-picked, these grapes were whole bunch pressed slowly in our screw press, allowing gentle phenolic extraction from the skins. The juice was then transferred into seasoned French barriques for fermentation & eight months of élevage. Bottled on site at our Basket Range winery. Show more
