I have named this collection “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever” for several reasons. I grew up watching musicals from the 50s and the 60s. Barbra Streisand and the plot of On a C lear Day had me in awe-the flowers, the costumes, the music! I think of music often as I work and it is always sort of random but whatever it is-it sticks and makes sense with the work. These images are very different than my normal. They have been digitally altered so they are either in a haze or completely distorted so things aren't totally clear what you are seeing. I have watched everything change. The flower industry has not escaped the pandemic on any level. The cost of flowers continues to rise as so many people continue to struggle with their businesses-making flowers all but a frivolous and luxurious item in their homes. Even though these images are blurry and digitally altered, I know what is there-I know what I see. I continue to see the beauty of the flowers but also how they are evolving for me. Show more
