Mabel Hood is worked seamlessly from the top down, in stockinette stitch and ribbing.The upper part of the hood is worked flat. Stitches are then picked up along the sides and the hood is worked back and forth, while shaped with increases. After the shaping is completed, the hood is worked in the round. Stitches at the front edge are picked up and the trim is worked in the round in stockinette stitch.
