Mac Miller's landmark 2012 mixtape, Macadelic is home to the hit single "Loud" and boasts features from Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Joey Bada$$, Sir Michael Rocks, Cam'ron, and Juic y J. It found Miller attempting to "stop thinking about what kind of music [he] should make and just start saying what [he] wanted to say." Medium wrote that "...Mac Miller's dark side made its grand entrance on Macadelic – a side that he would torturously grapple with for the rest of his short life and a part of himself that could be thrilling to get lost into as a listener one moment and the next made itself known in sober existential reflections."
