The bright blues, and vibrant golden yellows of these Macaw feathers dance back and forth as you wear them. Each feather was ethically sourced, and is extremely rare. For more than 2,000 years Macaws and their feathers were traded in both the Mayan and Aztec cultures. For more than 1,000 years they were traded north into the southwestern United States in exchange for turquoise. The ancient Pueblos of Chaco Canyon, New Mexico started importing Macaws around 900 A.D. These amazing creatures are still revered for their beauty today.
