Quality prints of my Macclesfield Panda Illustration. The Giant Panda, which can now be found at the Silk Museum is a fascinating part of the history of Macclesfield. A brief history:The panda was shot in 1935 by Captain Courtney Brocklehurst in North-West China. This was at a time when only 3 or 4 had been hunted and none were exhibited in Zoos. The headlines at the time read "Man travels 28,000 miles for one shot". The Panda is a well loved part of the town, however sad it is that it was shot, but nearly 90 years later it is still a part of our towns story. ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ Lightly textured ART PRINTS, ALL professionally printed on high quality, lightly textured, uncoated, heavyweight art paper.
