The Juniper Smoke The ancient Swedish tradition of using juniper smoke to preserve fish or meat inspired us to combine our local peat with juniper twigs. We realized we had stumbled upon something special. The infusion of "Swedish smoke" imparts distinctive qualities to our peated whisky, making it truly unique. The Swedish Oak No whisky had ever been matured in virgin Swedish Oak casks before. The outcome was a whisky brimming with flavour, yet delicately nuanced. The unique character depends on the contrasting cell structure and shape of lactones in Swedish oak compared to American oak. Mackmyra Identitet is a vibrant encounter and a showdown between big personalities.
