This whisky showcases a bold, coastal character, blending a high malt content (70%) with a notable proportion of ex-sherry casks, delivering a distinctive profile that captures the rugged essence of the West Coast. The integration of Highland and Campbeltown (with its maritime essence), plus a little Lowland grain thrown in for good measure, creates a layered and intriguing whisky with a coastal twist. Nose: Burnt citrus peel, sea salt, nectarine syrup, lime marmalade, hay bales, coal bunker, oily shed, raisins, hazelnuts, orange peel, caramel, cocoa butter, fermented pineapple. Palate: Puffed rice, rice pudding, white chocolate, lime pickle, Chantilly cream, Viennetta ice cream, Ferrero Rocher, hessian, charred heather, smoked praline, burnt honey.
