The Madagascan Sunset moth is a day-flying species of the Uraniidae family and is indigenous to Madagascar, as its name suggests. In 1773, entomologist Dru Drury considered it a butterfly and put it in the Papilio genus. Later, in 1823, Jacob Hubner identified it as a moth, placing it in the Chrysiridia genus. Bright and colourful, mostly due to its wings, the moth generates an impressive and appealing appearance. All pictures are printed on 300 gsm high quality artist paper. Framed prints are mounted, signed by the artist and supplied in an attractive and stylish frame with a smooth white finish. Frames come in two sizes; 8in x 8in or 16in x 16in, with a 28mm (approx. 1in) surround, and fitted with 2mm glass and an MDF backing with hanging bracket.
