Don’t let the colour chart fool you — while there are quite a few colours in this 1960’s Oushak rug, they are all wonderfully faded and softened with age. Warm beige and olive form the base, with touches of sage, mustard, sky blue, denim, terracotta, salmon and brown woven throughout. The border is also salmon with denim blue details. Outlines are in a mid brown. On their own it sounds like a lot, but together they are incredibly gentle and harmonious. It’s one of those rugs that has plenty of colour without ever feeling colourful — soft, muted and beautifully easy to live with. A really lovely old piece. Show more
