Maestro is about recognizing and honoring those in your life that see you through the difficult times. Goddard is a man mourning the loss of his wife. Now, a year since her passing, he decides to retire from his role as a world-renowned Maestro. Even though he is retiring to one of the world's wealthiest retirement communities, Savannah Valley, he is unsure about what the next chapter of his life holds for him. As Goddard wrestles with the loss of his wife, and now his purpose, a “welcoming committee” shows up unexpectedly. What seems to be an intrusion on the peace Goddard thinks he needs, turns out to be the exact opposite. These strangers quickly become friends that help him to rediscover his passion for life, and his new purpose. Maureen is an accomplished novelist also living in Savannah Valley. She too has dealt with the loss of a loved one with the death of her husband. As an author she has spent her life hiding behind pen and paper, sheltered from the spotlight. Maureen takes an immediate and special liking to Goddard. Both characters find they have more to give and what at first looked like retirement, is just the beginning of a renewed purpose. They lean into each other to find comfort and joy again.
