A sterling silver ring with a hand carved pattern design and a partially exposed, talon claw setting holding a Chrysocolla gemstone 18mm x 13mm. Chrysocolla is a hydrous copper sil icate whose name comes from the Ancient Greek khrusós and kolla. It has vivid, beautiful blue-green and brown colours and has been popular for carvings and ornamental use since antiquity. Similar to turquoise it has been used as a talisman by native Americans and tribal cultures. Fable Ore's signature style is a simple series of lines and geometric shapes that create an interwoven feeling of depth, evoking runic symbols and the spirit of patterns from ancient cultures. These markings are inscribed over smooth contours and framed by borders that are reminiscent of Celtic panels and heraldic armour. Our silver jewellery is oxidised so the pattern lines stand out.
