When I designed MAGGIE MAE I knew I had to break the rules about colour composition which were once taught to me. I wanted a vibrant quilt with a mix of fabric that would definitel y not “match” but which would come together in a cohesive quilt that would make me – and you - sit up and notice. One of the so-called “rules” I abandoned was making uniform borders which I've always done with medallion quilts. Well…. That went out the window for this quilt. I used a combination of fabrics - from geometrics, soft floral, stripes .....all appliqued onto a dark grey background. Quilt measures 51 x 51 inches Show more
