The Maguro Magic was developed alongside a mate preparing for a trip to Japan to chase large tuna land based, where lure performance isn’t optional—it’s everything. The result is a purpose-built surface lure designed to be skipped across the top at medium to high speeds, throwing a fleeing baitfish profile that pelagics can’t ignore. At 200mm long and 100g unrigged, it casts well and tracks clean under pressure, making it ideal when fish are up and moving fast. The addition of a belly treble helps the lure hold in the water in rougher conditions while also increasing hook-up rates when fish commit at speed. Like the rest of the range, it’s constructed from 100% recycled HDPE plastic and built tough with a 2mm stainless steel thru plate and stainless steel internal weights—designed to handle brutal strikes and sustained fights.
