Mahjong 102: Intermediate Strategy & Guided Play At The Parlor at Jongee’s This is where confidence at the Mahjong table truly begins to build. Mahjong 102 is designed for students who have already completed at least one Mahjong 101 lesson and are ready to move beyond the basics into more strategic, confident gameplay. Prior to this class, students should feel comfortable with foundational Mahjong concepts including tile recognition, basic game flow, and understanding the rhythm of play. (Many students choose to take multiple 101 lessons before stepping into 102 — and that is absolutely encouraged!) This intermediate-level lesson is focused on helping players feel prepared and comfortable for real-life social Mahjong play through strategy instruction, repetition, and guided gameplay inside our beautiful Parlor space at Jongee's Gifts & Fine Furnishings. During this 2.5-hour class, we will focus on: Charleston strategy & decision making Choosing a strong line efficiently Understanding hand flexibility Improving card-reading skills Gameplay flow & table confidence Guided open play with instructor support throughout This class is perfect for players who understand the basics but still feel hesitant sitting down at a social table. Our goal is to help you feel more relaxed, confident, and strategic so you can comfortably join open play, community games, and Mahjong nights with friends.
