Mahsa Amini, who also went by the name Jina, was a 22-year-old woman from the western city of Saqqez in Iran's Kurdistan province. Iranian morality police detained her outside a metro station in Tehran and took her into custody, with witnesses claiming that she was beaten while being transported to a detention center. Protests following Ms Amini's death began now spread in all over the world. The activist group, the Center for Human Rights in Iran, says 451 protesters and 60 members of the security forces have been killed since the start of the unrest and that more than 18,000 people have been detained. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these earrings will be donated to the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI), which has been amplifying the voices of the Iranian people since 2008.
