Makana is a mountain that rises from the ocean above the Limahuli Valley on the North Shore of Kaua’i. Makana, meaning ‘a reward’ or ‘gift from heaven’, hosts a stunning array of c olors and holds a very special place in my heart - it’s even my brother's middle name! The beach around it is secluded and peaceful; it will have you falling in love with the strength of the mountains and the refreshing beauty of the waves.
