Primal Dub 2 is the second solo album by MaL, a leading music producer and DJ of PART2STYLE, one of Japan's iconic bass music crews. MaL's first solo album Primal Dub was created w hen he was hospitalized due to an accident, and was released in 2022 from Hoodish Recordings. Although it was an instrumental album, it reached No. 1 on the iTunes reggae chart and has received high acclaim worldwide. And now, the long-awaited sequel, Primal Dub 2, is released for the first time on vinyl record! In addition to the mellow and gentle dub sound from his previous album, MaL's dub mix has been refined in Primal Dub 2 which will satisfy listeners who liked the previous album. One of the highlights of Primal Dub was the participation of MaL's elder daughter on trumpet, and now Primal Dub 2 features MaL's younger daughter on alto saxophone and voice. While the concept of incorporating reggae, lovers rock, and dancehall into a soundtrack of daily life through dub is consistent with the previous album, the music and sound has evolved even further.
