Malham Cove's limestone holds its lichen in patches rather than sheets, grey spreading across grey in irregular colonies that meet at their edges but never quite blend into one con tinuous surface. This rug holds that same gathering: three fused radiating caps in pale stone and taupe, each centred on its own off-centre point, the scalloped edge recording exactly where one colony meets the next rather than smoothing the join away. Shaped by the weavers of Jaipur, the wool is hand-tufted and carved to two distinct pile heights, holding its structure through relief rather than dye. The fused, organic silhouette means sizing here is necessarily bespoke. Set beneath a Georgian cornice or bare concrete, the piece reads as outcrop before it reads as rug.
