Mammen Axe Our Mammen Axe has been beautifully crafted using the highest quality materials. The head has been forged using carbon steel to achieve the iconic shape associated with the famous Mammen grave from the Viking Age. The shaft has been hand-crafted from Rosewood and finished with our signature beeswax and linseed oil blend, which helps protect, aids in grip and brings out the wood's natural grain. Each axe is supplied with a hand-sewn leather sheath that connects with leather ties for a more authentic fastening. This is our variation of the axe found at the Mammen burial, where we kept the iconic axe shape and paired it with our logo.
