The Manatee is a mammal that lives in tropical waters and feeds on seagrass, algae and other aquatic plants. Its closest relative is an elephant. Its front legs have evolved into f ins over millions of years, while its hind legs have completely disappeared. The manatee’s tail is shaped like a paddle, whereas a dugong, which looks very similar, has a tail fluke that looks like a dolphin. Measures 6.22" long. Ages 3 and up. Show more
