Unique, lightweight Manatee ornament created by artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Each ornament is inspired by nature, carefully hand-carved with a machete and painted with realistic detail. Approximate size of each ornament is 5" x 2". Materials: Sustainably harvested balsa wood and non-toxic acrylic paint. The Balsa Creations Collection comes from our business wholesale partner Women of the Cloud Forest who have been proud members of the Fair Trade Federation since 2001. They have built direct relationships with small family workshops and cooperatives in Nicaragua and Costa Rica where they provide consistent business, training, product development and aid in workshop capacity building.
