The game is played on a gorgeous linen playmat adorned with two circular mandalas, separated by a horizontal space (the mountain) that creates distinct individual fields for each participant. Each player has seven spaces dedicated to their face-up river of cards and a cup for face-down cards to be scored later. Players begin with a hand of six cards, plus two random cards placed face down in their cup, and two additional random cards face-up in the central mountain of each mandala. Each turn offers thrilling choices: play a single card into one of the mountains or multiple matching cards into your field. But be wary of the 'Rule of Color': once a color is played in a mandala, subsequent cards of that color must remain within that area. This clever rule adds layers of strategy and intrigue, encouraging players to think critically about each move. When a mandala is completed, players 'destroy' it, taking turns to choose a color from the mountain and claiming all cards of that color. The player with the most cards in their field chooses first, or in case of a tie, the player who did not complete the mandala takes priority. On their first claim of a specific color, players strategically place one card in the lowest-valued empty space in their river, while the others go into their cup. The river's spaces are valued from 1 to 6, assigning dynamic points based on the order of claimed cards. After a mandala is destroyed and colors are allocated, played cards are discarded, and new cards are dealt into the mountain, keeping the excitement fresh and engaging. The game concludes when the deck runs dry or when a player proudly adds a sixth color to their river. Players then calculate the value of the cards in their cups as determined by their river positions, unveiling the ultimate champion!
