The word “Mandala” loosely means ‘circle’ in the ancient Sanskrit language, and Mandala art refers to symbols that are drawn, sketched, or painted in a circular frame. Mandala art has been used throughout the world as a process of self-expression. In modern use, Mandala has become a generic term for any diagram, chart, or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos symbolically. These ancient symbols can be found only using black, or more commonly in a beautiful array of colors! We created 20 separate designs in beautiful satin stitching and kept all the stitch lengths relatively the same. This gives the designs a very intricate look without astronomical thread counts.
