Second half of the 19th century. 24" curved, broad fullered s.e. European trade blade. Good quality with minor spotting on original finish. Polished leather covered grip with brass knob pommel. Paddle form tip leather scabbard with high raised transverse bands and incised line decoration. A little wear and cracking to the leather. Superior quality. Kunta Kinte of Roots, from whom Alex Haley claimed to descend was Mandingo. Show more
