The fat is the most prized part of the mangalitsa pig. Raising them on pasture and finishing them on acorns & hickory nuts further accentuates their great qualities. They have been bred to contain high levels of omega-3s and the fat has a creamy, buttery taste. You can use this to make lardo or render it into lard for frying, cooking, baking, soaps, etc...
